Welcome to Issue 8 where we’re celebrating the Chinese New Year.  We’ve gathered a few activities to use with your students to test their knowledge and give them some cultural insights.

First up is a simple quiz about the customs and traditions around the Chinese New Year. Ideal for beginners, students can see how much they already know and share their ideas with a partner.

For intermediate level learners, we have a free downloadable short story and audio file about the Chinese Zodiac, and why there’s no cat!

Finally, if you’re teaching younger learners, you may enjoy making a horse puppet, singing some new year songs, or reading the story of the Zodiac.
